A number of pieces have been added over the last few weeks. Corrida de Toros is a short opera for two sopranos and percussion ensemble. The other pieces are for jazz combo and are performed by The Palouse Jazz Project of which Dan is a member. They are: Kalij, Lullanova, Mainspring, Melancholic Music of African American Folk Origin, Third Line, and Windolian.

We have recently added Dan's piece called, "How Birds Can Take Their Own Portraits" for flute choir and percussion. It was originally commissioned and performed by the Ohio State University Flute Troupe. Thank you, Professor Katherine Borst Jones of Ohio State, for providing us with a recording of the piece!

Dan will be in Seattle directing a special concert featuring Catholic High School choirs at Benaroya Hall. He is bringing several University of Idaho percussionists to accompany the choir and they will be performing a number of his pieces. The concert is on Monday, February 7, 2011, 7:00 p.m. and is presented by the Seattle Catholic Archdiocese. Tickets may be purchased through the Seattle Symphony. All seats are general admission.
